Dourado initially worked as a professional wrestler, using the ring name "Ace Steel", before transitioning to mixed martial arts. He amassed a record of 14 wins and 8 losses over the course of his career, competing in promotions such as Jungle Fight, Strikeforce, and the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).
